WEBSITE DESIGN
CLIENT:
CAASSIE Foundation
SECTOR: Higher Education and Non-Profit. DISCIPLINE: Website design. TEAM: Mildred Center, designer. Mildred Center and Alison Hunter, copywriters.
Caassie’s home page welcomes visitors informing what they do, why they do it, and its benefits and value to the visitor. Each award season, students awarded scholarships take center stage on the home page with a photo and short bio to inform donors and visitors of award recipients.
The home page features a large, striking image that immediately conveys Caassie’s mission of promoting student success. Throughout the website, images reflect the same look and feel. The banner images on each page set the stage for the page content by aligning with banner titles.
A clear marketing call-to-action that contributes to the growth of Caassie is “4 Easy Ways to Donate Online or Offline.” An email signup list builds engagement and awareness.
The cohesive website color palette echoes the color palette that originated during the logo development stage.
The typeface, Oswald, used in the logo is consistently used throughout the website. The size, weight, and color distinguish content hierarchy for headings, sub-headings, body copy, links, forms, and buttons.
An eye-catching bold Oswald font in gold consistently indicates a link, and buttons uniformly appear as a call-to-action with a gold background and white font.
To enhance readability and make content easily digestible, paragraph width or line length is approximately one-third of the viewable page width, with appropriate white space in the page layout.
Donating is made simple with a secure online donation system or downloading a form for offline donations.
